I was surprised your list didn't include the common "meise" birds. These
German chickadees were all over the Siegen area when I last visited
Germany. The two most often seen by me were the Kohlmeise and the
Blaumeise. They each have green or blue along with yellow. What a kick
to see those colorful chickadees! Also a jay called Eichelhare (my German
spelling is sorely lacking) was seen often as we strolled through the
wooded areas. A bird I truly would like to have seen would have been a
stork--oh well, maybe next time!
