Hi! A bunch of us (about 9) from
central PA will be visiting the Pacific
Northwest from August 2 through 12
(1997). Steve Feldstein suggested that
I contact Tweeters, so here goes...

I was wondering if any Tweeters would
be able to provide some information on
some of our target species -- mostly
where to find them, but maybe tips on
how to find them, too. Here's the
list:

White-tailed Ptarmigan
Tufted Puffin
Black Oystercatcher
Northern Pygmy Owl
Calliope Hummingbird
Crested Myna
Cassin's Vireo
Hermit Warbler

Just in case you are curious, here are
(most of) the places we plan to visit:
Skagit River Valley; Ross Lake;
Cascades NP; Vancouver, BC; Iona
Island; Cypress Provincial Park; San
Juan Island National Historical Park;
Dungeness NWR; Olympic National Park
(incl. Hurricane Ridge); Hoh
Rainforest; Ocean City SP; Pacific
Beach SP; Gray's Harbor; Willapa NWR;
Mount Saint Helen's National Volcanic
Monument; Mount Ranier NP. And we'll
be going on a Pelagic with Terry Wahl.

Thanks a lot! Maybe we'll get to see
you when we visit.
