Well Michael, you did rain on my parade just a bit, but the information was
interesting as well. It appears that a lot of birds have quite nasty
habits. From brown-headed cowbirds to eagles which destroy heronries. I'm
probably not going to disturb this wren because no one else has shown much
interest in the box. Perhaps I should have put up a sign labelling this box
as a nuthatch one and then the wren would have known to stay away.:) Here I
thought I was doing a good thing, but didn't know anything about the habits
of house wrens. Do Bewick's wrens share this trait?
