Sightings for Monday June 2

4 YELLOW-HEADED BLACKBIRDs were at Iona. A PILEATED WOODPECKER was seen
near a ravine on Westwood Plateau in Coquitlam. 2 late BRANT were on the
Roberts Bank Jetty and 2 BLACK OYSTERCATCHERS were on the Tsawwassen Jetty.
A LAZULI BUNTING and a WESTERN KINGBIRD were at Colony Farm.

In a late report for Sunday, a possible BLACK-CHINNED SPARROW was seen near
St. Andrews hall at UBC. Confirmation of this sighting is requested. In
other late reports for Sunday, 2 LITTLE GULLS were seen half way out the
Iona South Jetty and 2 CRESTED MYNAHS were seen near the New Westminster
Quay.

Sightings for Sunday June 1

A Sabine's Gull was seen at Grant Narrows Regional Park in Pitt Meadows.
The bird was observed at the Narrows and was last seen flying north up Pitt
Lake.

A Little Gull was seen with a flock of 20 or so Bonaparte's Gulls at lona.
Also at lona in over flight with a large flock of Canada Geese were a Snow
Goose and a Greater White-fronted Goose. Two Willow Flycatchers and 3
Black Swifts were also present.

Present for most of the day on the lona Causeway was a Western kingbird.
Near the old subdivision on Sea Island were 2 Olive-sided Flycatchers, 2
Willow Flycatchers, a Red-eyed Vireo and several Black-headed Grosbeaks.
An Eastern Kingbird was sighted along the Nature Dike at Grant Narrows
Regional Park and a Western Kingbird was spotted at Colony Farm.

On Neaves Rd. in Pitt Meadows 3 Turkey Vultures were seen soaring just
south of Grant Narrows and a flock of 25 Black Swifts were observed.

Sightings for Saturday May 31

A Wilson's Phalarope was on the Langley Sewage lagoons at the foot of 201
in Langley. Two Olive-sided Flycatchers were seen near 156th and 35th in
South Surrey.
