Sightings for Wednesday June 4

A Male HOODED WARBLER and a male BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLER were seen today at
UBC. Both birds were in trees and shrubs along the bluff west of the
Museum of Anthropology, near the totem poles.

Three male ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRDS are singing on territory in the vicinity on
20th Ave & 147th Street in S. Surrey. 2 late COMMON LOONS were observed at
Ambleside.

At Colony Farm were an OSPREY, a BULLOCK'S ORIOLE, a WESTERN KINGBIRD on
the first power pole from the East and 2 LAZULI BUNTINGS in the SW Corner.

Sightings for Tuesday June 3

A GREEN-TAILED TOWHEE was visiting a feeder in Glen Valley, which is north
of Aldergrove. The bird has been photographed and the sighting confirmed.
However, the property owners do not want birders visiting their property.

Two late DUNLIN and 8 BLACK TURNSTONES were at Brunswick Point.

Sightings for Monday June 2

The spring arrival common nighthawks were seen in over flight at Iona and
at 156th & 20th Ave. in S surrey. A Western Kingbird and a Lazuli Bunting
were at Colony Farm.

4 YELLOW-HEADED BLACKBIRDS were at Iona. A PILEATED WOODPECKER was seen
near a ravine on Westwood Plateau in Coquitlam. 2 late BRANT were on the
Roberts Bank Jetty and 2 BLACK OYSTERCATCHERS were on the Tsawwassen Jetty.
A LAZULI BUNTING and a WESTERN KINGBIRD were at Colony Farm.

In a late report for Sunday, a possible BLACK-THROATED SPARROW was seen
near St. Andrews hall at UBC. Confirmation of this sighting is requested.
In other late reports for Sunday, 2 LITTLE GULLS were seen half way out the
Iona South Jetty and 2 CRESTED MYNAHS were seen near the New Westminster
Quay.
