10:09 PM, May 29 - Dave Swayne (206) 932-6603. Steve Barnes(sp) and I just
got back from a four day boat trip to the eastern edge of Kittitas County on
the Columbia River north of Vantage. A long way off and difficult to get to
except by boat but we had two sightings that I thought worthy of reporting
none-the-less. The first was a first winter Yellow-billed Loon about four
miles up the river from Crescent Bar. The second was a likly breeding pair of
Ash-throated Flycatchers about a four mile hike up Tekison Creek. There was
also a single bird near the mouth of Quilomene Creek. Thank you.
