Hi Andy -

Oh, what a lucky man you are! How thrilled you must have been!

Here in Connecticut, most of our large predatory animals vanished many
years ago. However, we have seen a recent influx of black bears and
coyotes which are re-introducing themselves to their former habitats. A
black bear was seen (and photographed) last week about 10 miles from
where I live.

While birding on the University of Connecticut campus last year, I was
lucky enough to see one of the coyotes. Nowhere near as exciting as
seeing a wolf, but quite exciting for a New Englander. I know a little
of what you must have felt.

Thank you for sharing!
