Does anyone know where there is a colony of chukars within approx. one hour
of Seattle that is not within a hunting area? There is a healthy adult
chukar that was brought in to a wildlife hospital that needs to be
released. I would like to be certain that upon being released, this bird
will be able to locate members of his own kind (mating, etc). Are there
chukars living on the east side of the Cascades? Thanks for any
information. I also realize these birds are nonnative, so I don't want to
release it in an area where they haven't already been introduced.

Thanks,
