Subject: Trees for birds

I've come upon the luck of having a new apartment to move into which has
a beautiful yard (beautiful in that there IS a yard, anyway) and a nice
feeder already built by the living room window. It's got plenty of space,
but no trees, and we'd love to try to attract more birds besides our House
finches and sparrows. In particular, we'd like to get the cedar waxwings
to come visit in fall, so we're considering a fruit tree...

Unfortunately, we're not the most botanical of couples and would like to
know if anyone can give suggestions on what to plant to attract waxwings
(or any other sort of bird).

Thanks,

Pat and Linda Scott
