In anticipation of el current Nino event, I have begun my Wednesday
Jetty watch from the SJCR. Hopefully, you all saw the first installment.

While pelagic trips are essential in the planning for documentation of
this ENSO, it is also critical that we organize so land based observations
as well, since they will be more easily (and cheaply) mounted on a regular
and predictable schedule (one can stand on a headland, rain or shine).

I propose a one hour station count protocol conducted for the following
sites:
Cape Flattery, Wa
Cape Alava, Wa
Point Brown, Wa
North Head Lighthouse, Wa
South Jetty of the Columbia River, Or (I've got this covered)
Cape Meares, Or
Cape Lookout, Or
Boiler Bay, Or
Yaquina Head, Or
South Jetty of the Siuslaw R, Or
Cape Arago, Or
Cape Blanco, Or
Cape Ferrelo, Or

Now, I understand that it would be pretty much impossible to pull this off
for every one of these headlands (and there may be some more practical ones
that I've missed.)

If you can manage one of these sites or work out some rotation with others,
I can act as a clearing house for the data. What is critical is that we
get organized.

And yes you can still go out and get sea sick with Greg and Matt, too.
