Just returned from The Luhr Beach boat launch and Nisqually Reach Nature
Center. Had a great look at the white pelicans across McAllister Creek. They
were very obvious to the naked eye as I was lucky enough to be there when
they were as close to the Nature Center as they could be. They have been in
the area for about a week or so. Directions for those interested. Take exit
114 off I 5 and go to the top of the hill. Turn right at the Exxon station
and follow Meridian for a couple of miles. Turn right when you get to the
dead end sign (on 58th, I think) & follow the sign to the public fishing &
Nature Center.
