Sightings for Sunday June 22

250 CASPIAN TERNS and 3 BLACK OYSTERCATCHERS were at the end of the
Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal. 42 WESTERN SANDPIPERS were seen from the
Roberts Bank jetty.

Sightings for Saturday June 21

A Red-billed Blue Magpie has been at Wreck Beach for over a month. The
bird is in very good condition and is therefore likely an escapee.
Although not a local bird, it may be worth a trip to see this spectacular
bird which is 26 inches long, with a black hood, blue feathers, a red bill
and red feet. To locate the bird take trail 4 by the Museum of
Anthropology down to the beach and the go left along the beach for about
300 yards. The bird is vocal and easy to locate.

Sightings for Friday June 20

3 CRESTED MYNAHS were at the N end of the Arthur Laing Bridge. Over 200
CASPIAN TERNS and 3 BLACK OYSTERCATCHERS, including 1 fledgling were in the
small marsh at the end of the Tsawwassen Ferry Jetty.
