I was out thre as well. After everyone left for th night I stuck around
for another 20 minutes or so, and the owl came closer than it had all
night, but probably still not across the creek.

The highlight however, was after I had geared up and was pulling the bike
back down the driveway, I got a *great* look at the poorwill at the side of
the road. It was trying (in vain) to look like a rock in my headlight. I
snapped a couple pictures that I'll put on my web page once I get them
delveloped. It couldn't have been more than 6 feet in front of me! I got
some great pictures of birds at my feeders on Saturday and Sunday as well.
