Vernon June 20. Another LEAST FLYCATCHER was in Bone Creek Canyon June 19,
and one was consistantly calling the mornings of June 23 and 24 near the
Nature Trail in Page Springs Campground, south of Malheur Refuge.

The first fall movement of LEAST and WESTERN SANDPIPERS, and GREATER
YELLOWLEGS reached Oregon June 23. Three SURFBIRDS were at the South Jetty
of the Columbia River June 18, and a RED-NECKED PHALAROPE was near Burns
Junction June 21.

Large numbers of ELEGANT TERNS are now gathering along the northern
California coast. Some have already been reported from the Oregon coast.

June 23. On June 24 a GREAT GRAY OWL was seen in the Willamette National
