I have been browsing the Web and listening in on the conversations about
ABA which have been occurring on BirdChat and other places. I had been
an ABA member in the mid-1980s, but withdrew from all organizations save
state birding organizations due to various reasons during the late 1980s
and early 1990s. In the past few months, I have been contemplating
rejoining ABA--now the recent controversy has stopped me short. What I'd
like to ask the groups is this:

Knowing what you know about ABA, would you join from this date as a
starting point given all that has gone on recently and given the question
(or perhaps lack thereof) of the future?
