This is not true in my yard, where a pair of black capped chickadees have
shared the roof of their nest box with a pair of song sparrows. The
sparrows typically perch on the roof and sing morning and evening. For
their second brood, the chickadees chose another nest box which is a
favorite for the song sparrows AND goldfinches to sing from. I think
this pair likes to be serenaded regularly!

By the way, I am going over to Chelan for a week after the 4th of July.
Anybody know some good birding spots?
