I have a hummer feeder hanging from a pipe stand that I made out galvanized
water pipes. The earwhigs were crawling up the pipe and getting into the
feeder (and dying). I applied a layer of Vicks vapor rub to the bottom few
inches of the pipe and no more earwhigs. It may work for ants.....at least
its better than supporting the tobacco companies. Hans Krauss, Spokane,
