I do not mind reports from Connecticut. It's a small state, how many
birds could there be!

I have had chickadees, red breasted nuthatches and pine siskins eat out
of my hand.

This weekend a bold bushel of bushtits attacked my suet feeder. I can
easily stand within arms reach and they could care less. Has anyone
ever tried holding some suet in their hand and having bushtits
eat from it?

There was also one bushtit who went to the generic feeder and was eating
seed. Two others finally popped over to see what he had, but decided that
suet was much to be preferred. This rogue bushtit would attempt the
chickadee trick of holding the seed against the perch with one foot
while attempting to peck into it, with occasional success. He dropped
a lot of millet trying.

The bewick wren was very vociferous all weekend long.
