Doug,

I started birding in New Hampshire during the winter of 1977/78. My
neighbors suggested that I put up some bird feeders. I stood by my feeders
and had Black-capped Chickadees and Common Redpolls eating seeds out of my
hand. It was a cosmic experience like a bolt of lightening through my body.
I was an instant birder!
