All this discussion points to what I've been saying for the past year.
These economic interests will do "anything for a buck". They simply don't
care. We faced it with the logging companies in Oregon, cattle ranchers in
Arizona, and here in California it's the fishermen, the latest being we
can't create a marine preserve because it will put the fishermen out of
business. Nevermind that if we don't create the preserve they will be out
of business since there won't be any more fish. Which means, for you all
complaining about lack of bird subject matter, there won't be any more birds.

My point is: all this goes hand in hand; birds, environment and corporate greed.
