The male actually perches on a nearby Alder and on the Filbert further
away. They both also frequently sit on my neighbors Cherry tree (she
also has a feeder--'cause I view her tree). I seem to see them within
closer time intervals now then earlier; and, we are seeing male display
loops.

I doubt that I am onto any new behavior; I have never had luck with
viewing birds (cannot even see the owl at 16th and Denny); but, if it is
luck it will be dumb.
