Which has always made me wonder: How come just U.S.ers are called
Americans? Did our forebears just grab the name exclusively while they
were grabbing small Central American countries and other useful things?
Does it annoy Canadians to not be called Americans, too? Do you have
some preferred name for U.S.ers [recognizing that children read these
messages too :-)]?
