Sightings for Saturday March 8
At Serpentine Fen today were 1 American Tree Sparrow, 18 Tree Swallows and a
Violet-green Swallow. A Greater-white fronted goose was in a flock of
Canada geese at colony farm.
Sightings for Friday March 7
In a late report for Thursday, two Clark's Grebes were seen on the middle
arm of the Fraser River. One bird was near the Dinsmore bridge and the
other was east of the intersection of Agar and Inglis drive. A Male
Eurasian Widgeon was also seen.
Sightings for Thursday March 6
A Red-breasted Sapsucker was seen at 138th near the Fraser Highway and a
possible Hutton's Vireo was seen near the nature hut at Burnaby Lake. 23
Snow Buntings were on the Iona, South Jetty, 5 American Tree sparrows were
at serpentine fen and a Slaty-backed Gull was at Burns Drive. A Peregrine
Falcon was perched on a lamp post on the Oak street Bridge. Three Crested
Mynas were at 7th and Cambie outside the Canadian Tire store.
