We saw the hawk owl in Cheney on Sat. between 1:00 and 2:00 in a tree in
the back yard of the house at 15 Washington Ct. Just a half block from
the intersection of Washington and Elm

Also met a marathon birder from Eugene, a Mr. Freeman, who had driven to
see the accenter and rosy finches in Idaho and was returning to Eugene by
way of Cheney to see the hawk owl. Fortunately for him, we were in the
middle of the street with our scope so he just drove up and had a great
view. What a life--it took us an hour to locate it but it was a beautiful
day and the bird was worth it!!
