Tweets,
I recieved a message from Joan Carson in Poulsbo that there was a
Yellow-billed loon on Liberty Bay, so I went over yesterday to check it
out. The loon was found from the Keyport fishing pier. This location can
be reached by going east on hwy. 308 from either Hwy. 3 (Keyport-Bangor
exit) or from the old Poulsbo Hwy. that can be reached by following the
road on Liberty Bay south from Viking junction. Once on Hwy.308 take the
last left turn before entering onto the base (Washington Ave.),park here
and walk down to the pier. The bird was in with a flock of pacific loons.
If you would like to know other possible places to check, email me
personally.
