When the lifers dry up, you become a contributor to the next generation
Breeding Bird Atlas project and spend every birding day in the spring and
summer driving to a new BBA quad. Then, you get to start at ground zero
every day, and you not only get to tick off the birds, you have to
watch them long enough to try to find confirmed breeding evidence.
