Thanks for the posts about listing/not-listing... observation, etc.

3/10/97:Our first goldfinch of the Spring appears at our feeder, I'm
amazed anew! They are coloring up again. Funny little patchwork quilts,
fighting with the Pine Siskins for space at the thistle-feeder. EB
