Sightings for Monday March 10

The COMMON EIDER was relocated this morning from the Iona South Jetty. The
bird was associating with large flocks of scoters, first on the north side
of the jetty and then on the south side. It was last seen far to the south
of the jetty. Also seen from the jetty were an EARED GREBE and SNOW
BUNTINGS. 2 TREE SWALLOWS were over the inner ponds and a female PEREGRINE
FALCON was on the causeway. 29 SWANS, probably TRUMPETER were on Semiahmoo Bay.

Sightings for Sunday March 9

Between 64th and 72nd on Boundary Bay were 20 SNOWY OWLS and 1 ROUGH-LEGGED
HAWK. West of 64th were 2 NORTHERN SHRIKES and 105 TRUMPETER SWANS. At
Derby Reach Regional Park were a PILEATED WOODPECKER and a GREATER-WHITE
FRONTED GOOSE in a flock Canada geese. 10 SNOW BUNTINGS were on the Iona,
South Jetty and a male RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRD was in the 14900 block of 24th
Ave. in S. surrey. In a late report for Saturday the male TUFTED DUCK was
by the stone bridge at the West end of Lost Lagoon.

Sightings for Saturday March 8

At Serpentine Fen today were 1 AMERICAN TREE SPARROW, 18 TREE SWALLOWS and a
VIOLET-GREEN SWALLOW. A GREATER-WHITE FRONTED GOOSE was in a flock of
Canada geese at Colony Farm.
