I spent 4.5 frustrating hours looking for the Northern Hawk-Owl Monday
(3/10) morning, to no avail. Hope that I just missed it and that others
will have a chance. I covered the area pretty well -- those who have been
there have an idea of the coverage you can do in 4 1/2 hours.

In any case, Sunday night at about 8:30 I pulled off Hwy 395 to take a long
and good look at the Comet. I suspect that was not something I could not
have done in Portland, it was raining when I got back -- just like it was
when I left.

I made a stop at Walla Walla (it's on the way when you are coming from
Portland) to see the Northern Saw-Whet Owl that the Denny's have reported.
It is a nice bird and easy to find. Thanks for the post on this one.
