I beg to differ! Please don't boil the syrup. Recent studies have shown
that it increases the sugar portion of the ratio as the water boils off and
sugar does not. This can cause kidney damage to the little birds. You can
heat your water in a microwave for 1 minute and that will suffice to
dissolve the sugar. If you have chlorine, boil the water first, then measure.
