Sightings for Thursday March 13

At Iona, a NORTHERN GOSHAWK was flying along the north arm of the Fraser.
The northern migration of BRANDT is definitely in full swing as 6-700 were
on Boundary Bay. The birds are best seen on the falling tide from the foot
of 12th Ave. A PEREGRINE FALCON was North of the Roberts Bank jetty. A
female EURASIAN WIDGEON was at 6905 Bradner Rd. 3 SHORT-EARED OWLs and a
GOLDEN EAGLE in overflight were along the Aloette River dike West of 203rd.
60 TRUMPETER SWANS were in a field near the dike.

Sightings for Wednesday March 12

At Boundary Bay regional park were 138 BRANDT, 3 EURASIAN WIDGEON and a
SHORT-EARED OWL. 200 SNOW GEESE were seen in overflight.

In late reports for Tuesday March 11, over 500 BRANDT were on Boundary Bay,
2 SHORT-EARED OWLs were in Boundary Bay Regional Park and an Eared grebe was
seen form the Iona South Jetty.

Sightings for Monday March 10

The COMMON EIDER was relocated from the Iona South Jetty. The bird was
associating with large flocks of scoters, first on the north side of the
jetty and then on the south side. It was last seen far to the south of the
jetty. Also seen from the jetty were an EARED GREBE and SNOW BUNTINGS. 2
TREE SWALLOWS were over the inner ponds and a female PEREGRINE FALCON was on
the causeway. 29 SWANS, probably TRUMPETER were on Semiahmoo Bay.
