I saw my first Brants of the year this morning at Shilshole, about 10,
just off the north point of the beach. Also present were two mature Bald
Eagles flying north along the bluff. It seems like I almost always see an
Eagle or two at Shilshole, it's nice when Bald Eagles are a "common"
neighborhood bird!
Lots of Herons at the Locks, (I saw about 12 last visit) but still no
nesting activity at the Heronry. Most were in the tall trees between the
gardens and the restaurant.
