Can anyone help me with differentiating Tundra and Trumpeter Swans in =
the field, especially if the darn birds are at some distance(which seems =
often to be the case). I'm usually using a scope but even so the alleged =
differences in the bill don't seem all that apparent to me. Differences =
in calls only work when given, which doesn't seem to happen when the =
birds are lazing around. The size difference also isn't apparent to me.
I'm seeing them at the North end of Kootenay Lake in BC, which is on a =
flight path for both species.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.
