I suppose that this must be fairly common knowledge. But if it came by
in Tweeters, I just wasn't paying attention.

I spotted a Great-horned owl nest at Spenser Island today. In it were
a huge mother Great-horned owl and a good sized chick. The chick would
come out from under the breast and yawn and move its head in a clock-wise
direction, as owls are wont to do.

This is the first time I've seen a Great-horned owl, so I could be
wrong, but it was genuinely huge and had those two horn things over
its eyebrows. I couldn't see the white in front, because of the other
off-white and off-black striped little guy in front of her.

I can give specific directions if anyone wants.

Also, I saw the habitat ruination that the City of Everett is carrying
out. A local told me it was because of lack of funding and some sort
of resonance between the city and the Army Corps of Engineers. They
seem to have plenty of cash for idiotic destruction, though.
