Hi Margie and all other tweeters who saw the great gray today at Bridle
Trails. What a thrill! It was nice to spend time with you and partake of
your expertise sloshing through the mud and muck. Thanks for the id on
the hairy woodpecker, brown creeper and winter wren. On the way back
across 520 bridge, I saw a kingfisher on the right side of the bridge just
before we got to the Montlake exit. We also stopped by the Auboretum to
check out the heron congregation and there were 8 of them hunkered down in
the trees right at the start of the path just past the driving range at
Broadmoor.

A very rewarding day. BTW a friend of Scott Richardson's was with
us when we spotted the great gray owl and wanted to tell him "Sorry Scott"
after spending many hours in the rain on Saturday unsuccessfully searching
for the guy.
