March l6th Even though it seems to snow every morning lately, some
of us still go birding. In the Bridgeport/Brewster area lately we have
seen:
Double-breasted Cormorant (2-20), Swan (2-22), Eurasian Wigeon (2-25),
Western and Mountain Bluebirds (3-l), Sharp-tailed Grouse (3-8), Mt.
Chickadee (3-l5 feeder), Gray crowned Rosy Finch (3-l6 nearer Mansfield),
Gyrfalcon, Prairie Falcon (3-l6 nearer Mansfield), and at Coulee Dam on
3-l4 we saw their Violet green Swallows and Glaucous Gull, but missed
the Bluejay. Last, but not least, 3 Sandhill Cranes about l0 miles east
of Bridgeport today. Meredith Spencer
