Sightings for Sunday March 16

A PRAIRIE FALCON was hunting in a field west of Neaves road in Pitt Meadows,
about 1.2 km North of the Swan-e-set golf club. The bird was dive-bombed by
a MERLIN. The spring arrival CLIFF SWALLOW was at Reifel. Also at Reifel
were 20 VIOLET-GREEN SWALLOWS and 5 BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT-HERONS. About
10,000 SNOW GEESE were on Westham Island. A NORTHERN GOSHAWK seen from
highway 99 near the Annacis Island exit. A SNOWY OWL was at the foot of
72nd Ave. A MUTE SWAN was at Steveston

Sightings for Saturday March 15

A CLARK'S GREBE was on the middle arm of the Fraser river near the Sea Air
dock. A male TUFTED DUCK was at the west end of Lost Lagoon and a female
was at the east end. At the foot of 64th Ave. were a SNOWY OWL, a
ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK and a NORTHERN SHRIKE.

Sightings for Friday March 14

A YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLER, 4 BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT-HERONS and a EURASIAN WIDGEON
were at Reifel. A BARRED OWL was west of the Nature house at Burnaby Lake
and 2 HUTTON'S VIREOS were singing at Rosemary Heights in S Surrey. A
VIRGINIA RAIL was calling at Campbell Valley Park

In late reports for Thursday, a RHINOCEROS AUKLET was at Point Roberts, a
PEREGRINE FALCON was at Tsawwassen and 16 SNOWY OWLS were at foot of 64th on
Boundary Bay.
