Hi Tweeters,
There are so many types of birders out there I was curiose to get some
imput on what peoole think of what they are doing out there. To some it is a
competion, to others it is a way of relaxing and getting to "know the bird".
To me It is a sport, I like to go and get hi species counts and tally up
bird numbers, or put a check on a list. Thats what gets me excited out there
in the field.
To others though birding is a time to relax and enjoy all the birds you
are seening. I enjoy the birds that I see to but I dont like to watch them
mingling in the trees for a half an hour to admire there beutey.
To me birding is a passion and i get excited about what birds I might
see, the same old one arn't good enough sometimes.
Hopfully this will get a conversation started somewhere. Take a little
time to think about it and see what kind of birder you are. I'm sure I'm
missing a few catogoreys and there is a lot of gray area here. Whatever you
get out of birding or for whatever reason you do it I'm sure we all get the
same joy which makes us all equally-birders.
