9:18 a.m. 03-16-97: [Hal Opperman] The following report was filed
yesterday by Bill and Nancy LaFramboise of Richland, 509-627-3695. A
NORTHERN MOCKINGBIRD has been seen regularly at the Yakima Delta in
Richland since February 2nd. To see this bird, park at Bateman Island
and walk northwest along the delta for approximately 300 yards.
Saturday, along with Ruth Fischer, they [Bill and Nancy] found a flock of
45 SANDHILL CRANES flying north along the Horse Heaven Hills and heard at
least 2 LONG-BILLED CURLEWS. On the southside of Rattlesnake Mountain,
at the corner of Case and Snipes Roads, they observed a Ferruginous Hawk.
