Sightings for Wednesday March 19

For most of the morning, a GREAT HORNED OWL was in the lane on the south
side of 1st Avenue between Clark Drive and McClellan in Vancouver. The bird
was perched on a pole.

Sightings for Tuesday March 18

Two BLACK OYSTERCATCHERS were on the north side of the Tsawwassen jetty.
These birds were also seen on Monday and Sunday.

Sightings for Sunday March 16

A PRAIRIE FALCON was hunting in a field west of Neaves road in Pitt Meadows,
about 1.2 km North of the Swan-e-set golf club. The bird was dive-bombed by
a MERLIN. The spring arrival CLIFF SWALLOW was at Reifel. Also at Reifel
were 20 VIOLET-GREEN SWALLOWS and 5 BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT-HERONS. About
10,000 SNOW GEESE were on Westham Island. A NORTHERN GOSHAWK seen from
highway 99 near the Annacis Island exit. A SNOWY OWL was at the foot of
72nd Ave. A MUTE SWAN was at Steveston

Sightings for Saturday March 15

A CLARK'S GREBE was on the middle arm of the Fraser river near the Sea Air
dock. A male TUFTED DUCK was at the west end of Lost Lagoon and a female
was at the east end. At the foot of 64th Ave. were a SNOWY OWL, a
ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK and a NORTHERN SHRIKE.
