The Washington BirdBox is a voice mailbox sponsored by the Washington
Ornithological Society. To leave a message about a notable sighting, or
to listen to the most recent messages, call (206) 454-2662 and follow the

6:08 p.m. 03-19-97: Hi, my name is ??? [sounds like Dean Just]. I can be
reached at pager number 314-6752. I have a question for anybody who might
be able to help me. I believe I've seen a HARLAN'S HAWK along the Highway
167 corridor just east of the Smith Dairy Farm. A few weeks ago, I saw it
up in the area of 212 and West Valley Highway near the Boeing complex. If
this is a Harlan's, someone please verify it for me. Thank you.
