Washington? >>

Snake Lake in Tacoma is a very nice place to take children. There is an easy
trail around the lake with a couple of observation shelters. There is also a
Nature Center there but I have not been in it. The directions from Birder's
Guide to Washington are: The Nature Center at Snake Lake is reached from I-5
by taking Exit 132 and following SH 16 west towards Bremerton. Before Cheney
Stadium, take Tyler Street north; the center is on the corner of Tyler and
19th Street.
