Actually, it is "circumpolar". If you go to a spot with a truly low =
horizon, you can see it "skim" along the northern horizon - if there =
aren't any clouds.

By the way, I'm on the lookout for a good DARK sky location in the =
Ellensburg/Yakima area where I can take a photo later this week (weather =
permitting). Any suggestions?

Comet Hale-Bopp was been visible in the evening sky in the northwest the
last two nights in Yakima shortly after dusk. I just looked at it for =
about
ten minutes starting at about 9:05. It is now out of sight. It should =
be
visible for the next few nights but will disappear for about two weeks, =
I think.
Sunday night should be great with the lunar eclipse and hopefully the =
comet
for a short time.
