I am a novice back-yard birder and until now have been strictly a reader =
of the list. In just the short time that I have been following it, I =
have been very impressed with the scope and depth of knowledge of the =
contributors. I have really been learning a lot. Recently I have been =
researching the Osprey at a request of a friend who is writing a novel =
where the story line includes the nesting of a pair of Ospreys. What =
he needs to know what time of year would the Osprey be =
pairing/courting/nesting in the Puget Sound area? None of my bird books =
give this data. I can't even find out when they migrate here for the =
summer although I am assuming that it is still early for this as I have =
noted no sightings given on the list yet. Any relevant info and help =
would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.
