The Saturday, March 22nd Protection Island/Rat Island-Kilisut Harbor Cruise
resulted in the following sightings. Of Note were:

* the hundreds of Rhinoceros Auklets on the water just to the south of the
Point Wilson lighthouse

* of the 30 bald eagles sighted, only 2 (on Indian Island) were mature, 8
were spotted on the wing over McCurdy Point, 16 on Protection Island and 4
on Rat Island

* a yellow billed loon in the water just east of Protection Island

* large numbers of all birds except the yellow billed loon & the red
shafted flicker

Alleged sighting of a muskrat in Point Hudson marina

The scheduled Protection Island Cruises continue on Sat. March 29th, April
5, 12, 19, & 26
