Last year the first osprey noted at Everett was on March 29. On April
7, five birds were noted, one pair mating and doing nest work. The
following day 8 birds were seen. The year before at least on pair had
eggs laid on the 23rd of April. The young start hatching about June 1
and fledge about 6 weeks later. They start leaving toward the end of
August with some hanging around until late Sept/early Oct. Once in a
while one or two will winter over. Sorry these notes are brief and
incomplete-I'm taking them from my daytimer and don't have more
compete notes with me now.
