Portland Audubon's Field Trip Committee is meeting at 6 pm on Tuesday,
April 1, to discuss field trips through May, June, July, and perhaps into
August. We discuss issues about field trips as well as deciding where to
go.
I know I have talked to several people about issues re. field
trips of late, but I would like to give everyone the chance to respond.
If you have something to bring up, especially regarding the places field
trips go and the activities therein, please e-mail me directly at

I will compile answers and take them to the meeting.
As always, volunteers to lead are welcome. These field trips
sponsored by PAS are generally free of charge to all (and part of my
reasoning behind being in Birdathon this year is to raise money to keep
it this way--if you like this idea of free trips, put your 2 cents in with a
2-cent-per-bird pledge to my Gonzo team [this figures to about $4
assuming we see 200 birds; this is the only time I'll ask via these air
waves as others on them are participating as well and are also deserving
of your support]).
I really enjoy leading these trips, and want to help all enjoy
them so please let me know what you think.
