3:51 p.m. 03-24-97: [Hal Opperman] The following e-mail report dated
Friday, March 21st, is being recorded for Eric Kraig in Olympia, who
says, "At 10:30 this morning, I spotted a PALM WARBLER in, of all places,
the Lacey Fred Meyer parking lot off Sleator-Kinney Road south from I-5.
Oddly enough, I saw one there last winter in exactly the same place,
hanging around the ornamental plantings near the home and garden
entrance. This bird today was very active, flying from bush to tree to
rearview mirror, wagging its tail at each stop and calling incessantly.
Thank you." [If you'd like to call for more information, Eric's phone
numbers are 360-438-0546 (home) and 360-923-4023 (work).]
