Sightings for Wednesday March 26

A BARRED OWL was in a yard at Edgemont Village in N van and a large flock of
WESTERN SANDPIPERS was at Boundary Bay. A SHORT-EARED OWL was at Boundary
Bay regional park.

Sightings for Tuesday March 25

The spring arrival flock of 700-800 WESTERN SANDPIPERS were at Boundary Bay.
A CLARK'S GREBE was again seen from Agar and Inglis roads near the south
terminal in Richmond. 4 EARED GREBES were seen from the Iona South Jetty.
25 TRUMPETER SWANS were in overflight I the 19400 block of 24th Ave. in S
Surrey.

Sightings for Monday March 24

The MOUNTAIN BLUEBIRDS were at Colony Farm again today. When visiting
Colony Farm, birders are asked to stay on the dikes. The fields contain
very sensitive habitat and we are trying to encourage the general public to
stay on the dikes. Please therefore lead by example. An Immature GYRFALCON
was 4 blocks East of Kerr on 54th Ave. in Vancouver. Two AMERICAN TREE
SPARROWS were on the north side of the Scotch Pond slough which is just
north of Garry Point in Richmond. About 60 HARLEQUIN DUCKS were East of the
breakwater at Point Roberts in a large mixed flock of diving ducks.

In late report from Sunday, 2 male RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRDS and a VIOLET-GREEN
SWALLOW were at the UBC botanical gardens.
