The salmonberry is blooming, so the Rufous Hummers are back. I saw both
male and female, and heard several others. All were in areas where the
was a lot of blooming salmonberry.

There were at least 100 Violet-green Swallows, including one
partially-albinistic bird. There was extensive white where there should
have been green, and the pattern appeared to be bilaterally symetric.
The leading edge primaries where bright white, and the back had many
(six or eight) dime-sized white spots. A VERY striking bird. It was
flying over the slough just north of the weir.

Also saw some Yellow-rumped Warblers, and an alt. plumage Common Loon on
the lake.

There was one Bald Eagle on the nest and another looking at the lake
from a tree.

With the rain threatening, however, most of the park was pretty quiet.
About 35 species.
